Agnes Davis

Agnes Davis, one of the first members of Beth Joseph, passed away March 12, 2017, in Louisville, Colo. Rabbi Fred Greene and Cantor Holli Berman officiated at the March 15 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“Agnes and her husband Morris were among one of the first members of Beth Joseph Synagogue,” the family said. “She was very active in Sisterhood.

“In 2005, she moved to Lafayette, Colo., where she lived independently in her home until three months before her death.”

Agnes Renee Levitt, the second of five children born to Rose and Jake Levitt, was born March 10, 1918, in Denver.

She earned a high school diploma.

On Aug. 6, 1939, Agnes married Morris Davis. They were married for 63 happy years. Mr. Davis passed away on Feb. 3, 2003.

Agnes was a bookkeeper at the family’s wholesale kosher food distributorship, Davis Distributing Co.

She also was a bookkeeper for a medical billing company and various medical practices in her later years.

Agnes Davis is survived by her children Alan (Gloria) Davis of Aurora and Linda (Rodney) Tuenge of Lafayette, Colo.; grandchildren Lisa (Marc) Ginsberg, Marc (Tonya) Littmann, Neil (Nicole) Littmann, Andy Davis, Kevin (Nicole) Davis; brother Lester (Estelle) Levitt of Denver; great-grandchildren Jackson and Sophie Ginsberg, Ellie and Rachel Littmann, Mackenzie and Peyton Littmann, Aiden Davis; two step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.
