Sheila Akers

Sheila Ann Titman Akers, an entrepreneur, passed away July 9, 2019, in Denver. Rabbi Steven Foster officiated at the July 12 graveside service at Emanuel Cemetery. A memorial reception followed at V-Esprit at Shalom Park.

Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“Her greatest desire was to be the best mother possible, and there is no doubt that she lived up to that ideal,” the family said. “She also offered motherly advice to many others.

“Her influence, love and memory will live on.”

Mrs. Akers was born July 15, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minn., to the late William and Toby Titman.

She moved to Denver and graduated North High School.

Mrs. Akers was married to Terry Lee Akers, who predeceased her on Dec. 5, 1999.

Her marriage to Guy Howard ended in divorce.

A realtor, farmer and businesswoman, Mrs. Akers later resided in Hilo, Hawaii.

She was a member of Al Anon, Relay for Life and the Hawaii Democratic Party.

Mrs. Akers is survived by her sons Mason Akers of Denver and Michael (Heidi) Akers of Colorado Springs; brother Sheridan (Margaret) Titman of Austin, Texas; and grandchildren Drake, Aspen, Venus and Cloud.
