Belle Duitch Chazen, BBYO board member at the JCC for many years, passed away Aug. 5, 2010, in Denver.
Rabbi Joseph Black officiated at the Aug. 6 service held at Feldman Chapel. Interment followed at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
The family said she was beloved by friends and family.
Mrs. Chazen was born Nov. 23, 1915, in Des Moines, Iowa. A high school graduate, she also lived in Ames and Mason City, Iowa
She married Mier Chazen on Nov. 23, 1937. Mr. Chazen passed away on July 10, 1991.
Mrs. Chazen, who moved to Denver in 1958, volunteered for many non-profit organizations.
A board member of Denvers BBYO, she was very devoted to the organization.
Mrs. Chazen is survived by her daughter Eleanor (George) Lindenbaum and sons Lawrence (Cecilia) Chazen and Samuel (Lorraine) Chazen; grandchildren Alicia, Joshua, David, Tara and Lana; and great-grandchildren Lili, Tyler, Noah, Zea and Alexis.
