Sylvia Silbert

Sylvia SilbertSylvia “Sookie” Rothman Silbert, formerly  of Newton, Mass., passed away Oct. 29, 2009, in Aurora. Rabbi Stephanie Kolin officiated at the Nov. 1 graveside service at the Baker Street Cemetery in Boston.

Mrs. Silbert was born April 2, 1916, in Boston. She was raised in Newton, Mass., and attended nursing school.

She married Arthur “Archie” L. Silbert on Aug. 12, 1942. Mr. Silbert passed away on Nov. 25, 2000.

Mrs. Silbert moved to Denver at the age of 93.

She is survived by her daughters Janet Silbert of Randolph, Mass., and Sharona (Joseph) Stone of Englewood; grandchildren Dr. Michael (Sheri) Stone of Tulsa and Jacqueline Stone of Englewood; and great-grandson Braeden Isaac Stone of Tulsa.
