Ronald Schiff
Denver native and devoted supporter of Jewish causes, Ronald “Ronnie” Schiff died on Oct. 21, 2023, five days after his 88th birthday. A service was held on Oct. 23 at Rose Hill Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Yaakov Meyer and Cantor Marty Goldstein. Arrangements were handled by Feldman Mortuary.
Born on Aug. 26, 1935, Mr. Schiff grew up on Denver’s West Side and attended Cheltenham Elementary, Lake Junior High School and North High School. On June 15, 1958, Ronnie and Sandra Schiff were married at Beth Joseph.
After joining the Colorado Air National Guard, Mr. Schiff began his career at Safeway stores, where he ran their bakery and merchandise distribution. He then went on to start Wholesale Specialties, one of the most successful plumbing supply businesses in the country.
“Ronnie laid the foundation for a great family,” his family said. “He created and grew a great business and was very philanthropic.
“He would help anyone with his time and advice, and you would never hear him brag, or say a bad thing about others.
“For all his successes he was incredibly quiet, gentle, generous and unassuming.”
Survivors are Mr. Schiff’s wife Sandra; children Frank (Andrea) Schiff, Bobby (Toni) Schiff and Bryan (Susan) Schiff; and grandchildren Zachary (Alexa) Schiff, Samantha, Danny, Rebecca, Corey, Stephanie, Jeremy and Rachel.
