Morton Kraut

Longtime Denver accountant Morton Kraut died Dec. 17, 2021. Mr. Kraut was 90. A service was held Dec. 19, 2021 at Emanuel Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Steven Foster and Cantor Elizabeth Sachs. Arrangements were made by Feldman Mortuary.

Mr. Kraut, nicknamed “Noinie,” grew up in Denver’s West Side, attending North High and the University of Denver. He served eight years in the US Army before becoming a CPA. Mr. Kraut worked until 2018.

In 1956, Mr. Kraut married Sheila Fine. Mrs. Fine passed away in 2001. Mr. Kraut’s family called the couple “inseparable.”

Mr. Kraut’s family said he maintained friendships with some of his childhood friends.

“He had many interests,” the family said. “He loved cars, and collected art of all types.”

“He dressed impeccably,” the family added, “whether it was in Western wear or a sweater and his signature bow tie.”

Mr. Kraut is survived by nieces and nephews; Bonnie (Jordan) Saliman, Len (Joan Skinner) Goldberg, Terri (Rich) Strauss, Darlene (Alan) Friedman and Wayne (Faye) Gardenswartz.
