Arthur Leonard Nacht

Arthur Leonard NachtArthur Leonard Nacht, DDS, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs and Edwards, Colo., passed away Dec. 20, 2013. Graveside services were held at Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Scottsdale, Ariz.

“Leonard was a wonderful man who had a positive impact on thousands of people,” the family said. “His commitment to dental care was evident in his office as well as handing out toothbrushes on Halloween.

“His dental practice was state-of-the-art, and he continued learning throughout his career. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.”

Dr. Nacht was born in the Bronx. He graduated Washington University’s School of Dental Medicine in 1954.

After serving two years with the US Air Force Dental Service, he moved to Colorado Springs, where he established a private dental practice.

He retired from dentistry in 1995.

Dr. Nacht was married three times, to Gladys, Susan and Lynn. His second wife, Susan Olds Nacht, predeceased him.

An owner and a developer of Riverwalk, a mixed-used city center in Edwards, Colo., he loved popcorn, raspberries, wine, Hawaii, flying his small plane and skiing.

Dr. Nacht is survived by his children Deborah (Mark) Kupetz, Daniel (Dana) Nacht, Stefani (Guermantes) Lailari, Joshua (Alison) Nacht and Jacob (Amy) Nacht; sister Muriel Weintraub; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
