Reprinted on the occasion of the passing of Rabbi Israel Rosenfeld; from the IJN, Feb. 4, 2005 years to the day — the 27th of January — is what it took for Rabbi Israel Rosenfeld to speak publicly of his time at Auschwitz. He has denied all previous opportunities to speak of it publicly, even courteously turning down the Shoah Visual History Foundation when it requested an interview.
