Ladeen Fogel Pluss

Denver native Ladeen Fogel Pluss died on March 3, 2024. She was 86. A service was held on March 6 at Sparkman-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, officiated by Rabbi Neal Katz. Sparkman-Hillcrest handled the arrangements.

Mrs. Pluss, born on May 16, 1937, attended East High School before studying journalism at the University of Texas and University of Denver.

In 1957, Ladeen and Jim Pluss were married, and the couple moved to Lufkin, Texas. Mrs. Pluss was on the boards of the Ellen Trout Zoo and the Museum of East Texas; and active in the American Cancer Society and Junior League of Lufkin.

“Her love of people and kindness throughout her life are testament to her many lasting friends of all ages and walks of life,” her family said.

Survivors are Mrs. Pluss’ husband Jim; son Steven (Pamela) Pluss and son-in-law Brad Feldman; siblings Helen Ruth (Erwin) Mozer, Marshall Fogel and sister-in-law Zori Pluss; and grandchildren Danny (Rachel) Feldman, Molly Pluss and Henry (Hope Rovner) Pluss.

Contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines or Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin.
