Jules Wurzel

Jules WurzelJules Lee Wurzel, 88, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2014, in Denver.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 27, 2014.

“He enjoyed investing in the stock market, traveling and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” his loved ones said. “His family will miss him greatly.”

Jules was born on July 27, 1925, in Bridgeport, Conn., to Dr. Samuel and Minnah Wurzel. He had two siblings, Joyce (Levy) and Richard Wurzel.

He moved to Denver in 1954 with his wife Helen and their baby daughter Nina.

The couple founded Ad Industries, which manufactured and sold binders and advertising specialties. They sold the business in 1974.

Jules is survived by Helen Wurzel, his wife of 61 years; daughters Nina (Kevin) Molk, Judy (Jeffrey) Schwartz and Miriam (Barry) Weinstock; grandchildren Ben (Sarah), Brian (Amy) and Doreen Molk, Jerrica and Zinn Schwartz, Makara (Jessica) Conn and Samuel Weinstock; and great-grandchildren Ethan and Harper Conn and Daphne Molk.
