Judith Ruston

Judith Ruston, manager of the Rodef Shalom gift shop for several years, passed away May 21, 2008, in Aurora.

Rabbi Mordechai Levin and Cantor Gaston Bogomolni officiated at the May 23 graveside service at Beth El Cemetery in Omaha, Neb. Shalom Funeral Service made the arrangements.

Mrs. Ruston was born Aug. 22, 1920, in Elkhart, Ind., to the late Mathias and Ethel Levenson.

She was raised in Omaha, where she graduated from Central High School, and attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

On Jan. 25, 1942, she married Paul Ruston of Omaha. The couple then moved to Denver. Mr. Ruston passed away on Nov. 26, 1996.

A homemaker, Mrs. Ruston was a life member of Hadassah and was an active member of Rodef Shalom.

She moved to an apartment at Shalom Park in 2004.

Mrs. Ruston studied anthropology, yoga and bridge, which she played three times a week until April of this year.

She is survived by her sons Charles Ruston of Nederland and Robert Ruston of Boulder; grandchildren Robin Ruston of Boulder, Rebecca Ruston of Portland, Ore., and Michael Ruston of Boulder; sister Jean Duitch of Omaha; and four great-grandchildren.
