Bette Siegel

Centenarian Bette Siegel died on December 2, 2022, at the age of 102. A service was held at Rose Hill Cemetery on December 6, officiated by Rabbi Avraham Mintz. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Mrs. Siegel was born on February 22, 1920 in Kansas City, Mo., where she passed away.

Her family moved to Boulder in 1922, and Mrs. Siegel graduated from Boulder High School.

Mrs. Siegel met Isadore Siegel in Denver on a blind date, and they were married six months later in 1942.

They owned LaMode Furniture for 40 years and were married for 64 years until Mr. Siegel’s passing in 2006.

“Bette was a woman who brought a smile to all she met,” her family said. “She loved bridge and Mah Jongg and was an avid golfer and tennis player well into her nineties.”

Survivors are children Sandra Lynn Plattner Shulkin and Raye Ellen (Bruce) Silverman; four grandsons and nine great grandchildren.
