Albert Miller

Albert “Obbish” Miller, a founding member of EDOS, passed away June 19, 2013, in Denver. Rabbi Marc Gitler officiated at the June 21 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“He was a loyal and generous family man,” the family said. “And a fervent Denverite.”

Mr. Miller was born Nov. 4, 1925, in Denver. He graduated North and West High Schools.

From 1943-1945, Mr. Miller was in the Army Corps of Combat Engineers. He served in Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, England and the Pacific.

He married Naomi Smookler in 1947. Mrs. Miller passed away on Nov. 4, 2002.

A draftsman with the Colorado State Dept. of Highways, Mr. Miller also was an accomplished handyman and locksmith.

He was an avid supporter of Yeshiva Toras Chaim and DAT.

Mr. Miller is survived by his daughter Marcy Miller of Denver and son Jeffrey (Phyllis) Miller of Toronto, Canada; and brother Oscar Miller.
