2015, Rabbi Meir Simon moved to Highlands Ranch to “step into the gap” left when Jewish teens complete Hebrew school. Together with his wife Sara, Simon, who is originally from Albany, NY, started Cteen, a program of Chabad of South Metro Denver for kids in grades 8-12. “Kids have their Bar/Bat Mitzvah in seventh grade and then often they’re finished with Judaism,” says Simon in a recent conversation with the Intermountain Jewish News. That’s where Cteen comes in. Its programming is divided into three broad categories: social, learning and community service.
