Violet Stanton

Violet E. Stanton, originally from Des Moines, Iowa, passed away March 3, 2014, in Englewood. Rabbi Steven Foster officiated at the graveside service at Fairmount Cemetery. Shalom Funeral Service made the arrangements.

“Violet was a woman who loved her family more than anything,” her loved ones said. “Although she was shy and quiet, her caring heart and devotion to family was always present.

“The memory of her love will live on forever.”

Violet Blachley was born Oct. 28, 1922, in Des Moines. She lived in Chicago, Ill., and West Hills, Calif., before coming to Denver.

A homemaker, Mrs. Stanton enjoyed taking walks, sewing and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Stanton is survived by her children Ray Stanton of Aurora, Phil Stanton of San Gabriel, Calif.; and Sue Muller of Aurora; and 10 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence and son Louis.
