Denver native Phyllis Katz passed away on August 27, 2024, at the age of 78. A service was held on August 30 at Rose Hill Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Ben Last. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Ms. Katz, born on July 9, 1946, grew up on the East Side and attended George Washington High School and CSU.
During her whole life she worked in the family business, Sunnyside Drug, in north Denver.
Ms. Katz’s family said she was an accomplished photographer and a board certified graphologist.
“She was a true friend, reliable, a caring sister, and was caring, loving and selfless,” her family said.
“She was definitely a people person, and she had the gift of gab. She enjoyed engaging with people from all walks of life.”
Survivors are brothers Bob (Lena) Katz and Andy Katz; and nephew Michael Lee Katz. Ms. Katz was predeceased by her brother Richard Katz.
