How did people used to do it? I’m talking about managing in the heat without air conditioning. I’m thinking about this because the air-conditioning at the office is currently under repair and we’re all struggling. So, I wonder: How did they survive? People worked the same hours, in the same high temperatures, and let me tell you, they certainly weren’t wearing shorts and T-shirts. Have our bodies adapted to the possibility of an artificial cool down, so we don’t know what to do with ourselves in 90ºF? Then I think of Spain.
