It took 16 months for the government to fire Nejwa Ali

Homeland Security official glorifies Hamas, curses Israel, keeps collecting her pay check.

Nejwa Ali was in charge of vetting asylum seekers before she was placed on administrative leave pending an “investigation” by former Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas on Oct. 19, 2023. Twelve days earlier, Hamas invaded Israel, killing, kidnapping, raping, beheading. These atrocities prompted Nejwa Ali to glorify Hamas.

Among amother things, Nejwa Ali  posted pictures of Hamas terrorists parachuting with guns and writings a statement condemning Israel in language unfit to print. For good measure, she laid the same obscene curse on “any Jew who supports Israel.”

It turns out that Nejwa Ali’s LinkedIn profile stated that she had  been a public affairs officer for the Palestinian Liberation Office in DC. The PLO is a US-designated terrorists organization. It also turns out that her profile name is “Nejwa Free Palestinian from Apartheid Israel A.”

The Biden administration took more than 12 months investigating Ali. The Trump administration took until Feb. 10 to fire her. During all this time, she was collecting her government paycheck.

Without signing up for the slash-and-burn methods of government efficiency designee Elon Musk, it is abundantly clear that the government has a drastic efficiency problem. Why Nejwa Ali was not fired immediately upon her expression of sympathy for Hamas’atrocities is beyond us. We pity any Jew whose name crossed the desk of Ali when she was vetting asylum seekers. We rue the waste of government funds on Nejwa Ali and on the 16 months it took to investigate her.

The Trump administration announced this month that it will  start screening the social media posts of those who apply to immigrate to the US for expressions of Jew hatred. To those who might deem this drastic or wrong, we cite the case of Nejwa Ali as Exhibit A. People like her should not be admitted to the US.
