Michael Bach

Michael Alan Bach, a Denver native, passed away Aug. 23, 2018, after a brief illness in Costa Mesa, Calif. Rabbi Laurie Rutenberg officiated at the Sept. 2 service at Havarah Shalom in Portland, Ore. Burial followed at Jones Cemetery. Holman’s Funeral Service made the arrangements.

“Michael lived his life on his own terms,” his family said. “Born with spina bifida, his life was always compromised but he never let that get in his way.

“He lived independently for the past 28 years with Terri Cone, and had countless friends and acquaintances as he rolled through life in his wheelchair.

“We celebrate his amazing 56 years.”

Mr. Bach was born April 11, 1962, in Denver.

A graduate of Fountain Valley High School in Fountain Valley, Calif., he also went to Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Mr. Bach is survived by his parents Charlotte and Ted Bach of Hillsboro, Ore.; sister Kelly Bach of Hillsboro and brothers Robert Bach of Portland and Kyle Bach of Hillsboro; nephews Gabriel Bach and James Bach and niece Hannah Bach.
