Mrs. Weisbly was born Nov. 15, 1927, on Denvers West Side to Ida and Sam Levine.
She married fellow Westsider David Weisbly when he returned from WW II in 1946. Married for 42 years, they shared a wonderful, loving life together.
Mr. Weisbly passed away in 1988.
Following her husbands death, Mrs. Weisbly returned to work as a temporary sales associate at Foleys for the holiday season.
She then worked full time at Foleys, the May Company and Macys in Cherry Creek for 18 years and loved the job.
Daughter Gaile Weisbly remembers people stopping her mother and thanking her for helping them decorate their bedroom or advising them about a new watch.
Mrs. Weisbly, who traveled all over the world, often said her favorite trips were the ones she took with her grandchildren. She went to Israel with Michael and Eastern Europe with Eric.
She loved the theater, opera and her family.
Mrs. Weisbly is survived by daughter Gaile Weisbly-Waldinger of Denver; grandchildren Eric (Kate) Waldinger of Denver and Michael (Alyson Sprafkin) Waldinger of Los Angeles; sister Ethel Morris of Sugarland, Texas; and great-grandchildren Dyson, August and William Waldinger.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the March of Dimes or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
