Joseph Borus

Joseph Solomon Borus, a Denver attorney since 1971, passed away Sept. 18, 2018, in Denver. Rabbis Joe Black and Steven Foster and Cantor Elizabeth Sacks officiated at the Sept. 21 service at Temple Emanuel. Interment followed at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“A man of many interests, Joe was an avid reader, golfer and Broncos fan, though family was his number one,” his loved ones said.

“He will be greatly missed.”

Mr. Borus was born Sept. 15, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY.

He attended Williams College, Yale Law School and served in the US Army.

Mr. Borus practiced law in New York until 1971, when he moved to Denver and worked for Berenbaum Weinshienk.

He was married to Carolyn Rose Borus.

Active in his community, Mr. Borus served on the Shalom Park board and for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.

Mr. Borus is survived by his wife Carolyn Borus; children Todd (Anne) Borus and Justin (Tobey) Borus; and grandchildren Samantha, Alexandra, Ronan, Poppy, Esme and Alfie.

Contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis or charity of choice.
