Michael Kassan
Denver[dropcap] native Michael Kassan passed away on March 6, 2025. He was 41. A service was held on March 9 at Temple Emanuel Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Emily Hyatt. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Born on August 3, 1983, Mr. Kassan attended Herzl Jewish Day School, Kent Denver School, George Washington University, Ben-Gurion University and DU, where he received a degree in psychology.
Mr. Kassan made a name for himself in the tech world, establishing training systems for major companies in the use of virtual reality in the workplace.
“Michael was a man of many passions,” his family said. “Sports, concerts, golf and travel were just a few of the things that brought him joy. But, above all, it was his family that mattered most to him. He was known for his kindness and the unconditional love he gave to his family and friends.
“His daughter Sophie was the light of his life. His kind spirit, kind heart, generosity and love for life will be remembered by all who knew him.”
Survivors are Mr. Kassan’s daughter Sophia Kassan; sister Merrill (Eric) Ross; and parents, Dr. Stuart and Gail Kassan.

Saul Goldman[/caption]
Saul Goldman
[dropcap]Longtime Colorado Springs resident Saul Goldman passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 92. A service was held on March 19 at Montefiore Cemetery in Jenkintown, Penn. Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors made the arrangements.
A native of Philadelphia, Mr. Goldman and his family moved to Colorado Springs in 1977, where he was the owner of Pikes Peak Pharmacy and a member of Temple Shalom for 40 years. Mr. Goldman was instrumental in starting the senior lunch program and was a member of the Men’s Club bowling team.
Mr. Goldman’s family said that “Saul loved the beauty of the area and enjoyed hiking and cycling. He loved adventure travel and riding a tandem with (wife) Ruth across the USA and through many countries. Saul and Ruth climbed many mountains, including Mt. Kilimanjaro.
“He will be remembered for his infectious smile and kindness.”
Survivors are Mr. Goldman’s wife of 68 years, Ruth; children Meredith (Mike Colean) Goldman, Michael (Theresa Wong) Goldman, Matthew Goldman and Daniel (Sarah Pancake) Goldman; grandchildren Adam and Ryan, Alex, Eric, Justin and Thomas, Willa and Evelyn; and great-grandchildren Bowen and Charles.
