Margaret Ruth Appel Weissman, a former Denverite, passed away July 18, 2010, in St. Louis, Mo. Rabbi Howard Kaplansky officiated at the service, which was held July 18.
Margaret Appel was born Oct. 27, 1921, in Denver. She graduated North High School in 1940 and studied nutrition at Coe College and the University of Nebraska.
She married Jerome Weissman of St. Louis on Dec. 3, 1943.
Mrs. Weissman worked as a secretary, receptionist, accountant and bookkeeper.
She was active throughout her adult life in the American Medical Center and also volunteered with the USO and Jewish Lights of St. Louis.
Mrs. Weissman is survived by her husband Jerome Weissman of St. Louis; and children Pat Weissman Britz, Sally Weissman Kornberg, Julie Weissman and Joel Weissman.
