Irving “Irv” Manassee

Irving “Irv” Manassee, a Denverite since the age of five, passed away Feb. 25, 2017, in Denver. He was 97. A memorial service was held at the family’s home on Feb. 26, followed by a private burial at Ft. Logan March 1. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Mr. Manassee was born Sept. 18, 1919, in New York City. His family moved to Denver’s West Side when he was five.

He attended Cheltenham Elementary, Lake Junior and North High School, and graduated from DU.

Mr. Manassee served with the US Army from 1944-1945 in WW II.

An accountant at the State Historical Society for at least two decades, he also was a real estate investor. Mr. Manassee retired in his 50’s.

He was an early member of B’nai B’rith.

Mr. Manassee is survived by his children Terry Manassee, Linda (Chuck) Manassee Buell, Jackie (Jon) Manassee Montgomery and Mark (Melissa) Manassee; grandchildren Haley and Hanna Montgomery, Marie, Annie and Jimmy Manassee and Craig and Chance Buell; and former spouse Marilyn Manassee.
