This year, Sunday November 7th will be a Global Day of Jewish Learning, with cities as far apart as. At the centerpiece is scholar Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, who will be celebrating the siyyum (completion) of his translation of the Talmud.
In our research to find out if Denver could join, we found out that it already has. CAJE’s Hebrew High is using the opportunity to hold a “Green It Up!” event for 8th-12th graders, discussing the environment in the context of Judaism and learning. An obvious questions arises though. What about the rest of us? Any chance that a synagogue or other community organization will take this up for us elderly folk? We urge synagogue rabbis and lay leaders to visit the event’s website and look into registering for the event. There’s still around a week and a half to make this happen!
