Gerald Jerry Norman Tatarsky, a native Denverite and lifelong resident, passed away Jan. 12, 2010, in Denver.
Rabbi Steven Foster and Cantor Regina Heit officiated at the Jan. 15 service held at Temple Emanuel. Interment followed at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, the family said.
Mr. Tatarsky was born Feb. 26, 1925, in Denver. A graduate of East High, he attended CU.
He served with the US Army during WW II, earning two Purple Hearts.
Mr. Tatarsky, who married Suzanne Ginsburg, owned Pioneer Auto and Truck Parts until his retirement in 1984.
An avid golfer, he was captain of the senior mens golf team at Glenmoor Golf and Country Club, which established the Jerry Tatarsky Golf Tournament in his honor.
Mr. Tatarsky is survived by his wife Suzanne Adler of Denver; children Mack (Janice) Tatarsky of California and Jan Tatarsky of San Francisco; and grandchildren Jordan and Zachary Epcar of San Francisco and Allison and Lauren Tatarsky of Englewood.
He was predeceased by his son Fred Tatarsky in 1997.
