Pardon us.
We did not avail ourselves of the opportunity to watch people call for the deaths of our friends, relatives and corelegionists.
You know, the ones in Israel.
The people who should be killed, according to a Facebook page calling for a third intifada against Israel.
You know, the intifada where they blow up buses, kids, cafes, attendees at a Passover seder any Jews they can find, basically.
It is scandalous that it takes enough time for such a page to gather some 300,000 friends (with friends like these . . . ) before Facebook decided to take the page down.
Long ago it was established that free speech does not include yelling fire in a crowded theater.

Up to which level the call to murder Jews in Israel rises, and exceeds.
Not that Facebook would, or did, admit to being influenced by other calls calls of conscience from observers and critics, alarmed at incitement to violence that filled the Facebook page.
Scandalous and, worse, sad. Sad beyond words. That there is so much hatred of Jews, of Israel. So much malice. And, perhaps even worse, so much blindness. Obtuseness. Refusal to reason. To see realities. So much indifference to the savagery of intifada, so much ignorance of the causes of Palestinian suffering the Palestinians own refusal to share a land, to live and let live, to let a different ethnic group into the Middle East.
OK. We suppose we should be pleased that the page came down, but its tough to jump for joy when another page, just like it, popped up right after the page came down.
If, as they say, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, then hatred poisons, and absolute hatred poisons absolutely.
A simple idea.

Jews and Arabs on one piece of territory.
As in: more than one million Arabs citizens of the State of Israel.
Thank G-d for the US Congress, which sees the realities clearly.
