Dr. Ron Heller, a Denver native, passed away June 8, 2015 in Virginia.
He was known for his happy attitude toward life and lived in the present, the family said.
His memory will reside forever in our hearts.
Dr. Heller was born Jan. 17, 1947, in Denver to the late Irene (Chaikey) and Marvin Heller. He attended CU and graduated in 1968.
He went to the CU School of Medicine, graduating in 1972.
Dr. Heller moved to Charlottesville, Va., where he completed an internship and residency in family practice medicine.
He completed his second residency in pediatric psychiatry to work with children with drug and mental issues.
Dr. Heller was on the staff of the University of Virginia Medical School department of psychiatry and also had an active private practice.
His medical career was cut short after he was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease.
He enjoyed standup improv, acting, playing music and hanging out with his friends.
Dr. Heller is survived by his wife Linda; children Jesse (Katri), Lilly and Amos (Kara); four grandchildren; and his brother Marshall (Sue).
