Hela (Helen) Bolstok, a Holocaust survivor and former Denverite, passed away Jan. 16, 2009, in Las Vegas, Nev. She was 83.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
Mrs. Bolstok was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Lodz, Poland.
She was deported to Auschwitz in WW II.
Mrs. Bolstok immigrated to the US in 1949.
She was married to the late Szlama (Sam) Bolstok, also a Holocaust survivor.
He was shot during a robbery at his Denver fur business in 1977 and succumbed to complications from his injuries on Oct. 15, 1985.
Mrs. Bolstok moved to Las Vegas in 2000.
She is survived by her daughters Miriam (Douglas) Rodriguez and Shirley Bolstok; and grandsons Andrew and Robert Rodriguez.
Contributions may be made in Mrs. Bolstoks memory to the US Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC.
