Theodor “Bud” Rittenberg, longtime Denver resident and owner of Mr. Bud’s Shop for Pappagallo, passed away on Sept. 14, 2021. Funeral services were held Sept. 16 at Emanuel Cemetery, officiated by Rabbis Richard Rheins and Steven Foster.

Mr. Rittenberg was born on July 15, 1938, and grew up in Denver’s East Side and attended East High. He was married to his wife Patti for over 58 years. In the mid-60’s they opened their women’s fashion store which operated for 30 years.

“He never met a stranger he didn’t know,” said Patti. “The thing he loved most in life, other than his adoring family, was his countless number of friends.”

“He always put a smile on people’s faces,” added Patti. “However, nothing was better than how he laughed at his own jokes.”

Along with his wife, Mr. Rittenberg is survived by their three children Terry (Laura) Rittenberg, Jill Rittenberg, and Douglas (Amy) Rittenberg, and granddaughters Tess and Bree Rittenberg.
