Yeta Stein Flatow of Estes Park, Colo., passed away May 22, 2013, while visiting family in Israel. She was 96. The burial was held in Jerusalem.
Yeta was born in 1917 in San Antonio, Texas, to Rebecca and Julius Stein.
After graduating from the University of Texas, she married Tobias Flatow. The couple later resided in Houston.
While in Houston, Yeta was president of the ORT America chapter and eventually became a life member.
She also became involved in real estate, an interest that continued throughout her life.
Mr. Flatow died in 1996.
Mrs. Flatow is survived by her daughters Tobi (Itsik) Ranel of Ramat Efal, Israel, and Shirly Niemi of Bellevue, Washington; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters Bess Brown of Denver and Anne Flatow of Ft. Worth, Texas.
Her son Marc Flatow was killed in a helicopter crash in 1981.
