Willa Zuckerman died peacefully on April 12, 2012, in San Francisco. Services are pending.
She was a positive person who had a kind word for everyone she met, the family said. She will be missed by all her knew her.
Willa DeeHollman was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Columbus, Neb. She graduated from West High School in Denver in 1945 and earned her BA in journalism from DU, where she met her husband of 58 years, the late Leo Zuckerman.
The Zuckermans were longtime members of Beth Joseph.
An avid tennis player, gardener and cook, Mrs. Zuckerman excelled at preparing meals for large gatherings of friends and family.
She worked for many years for the National Writers Club and was a 40-year Friend of Bill W.
Willa is survived by her sons, David (Elsa Rosenberg) Zuckerman of San Francisco and Robert (Charmaine Emery) Zuckerman of San Francisco, and daughter Andrea Zuckerman of Jersey City, NJ; and grandchildren Abe and Max Zuckerman of San Francisco and Brooklyn.
