When it comes to reopening, shuls are taking it slow

summer settles in, and as at least some aspects of life in Colorado are beginning to return to their pre-pandemic routines, are local synagogues ready to follow suit? Not yet, it seems — although it might not be too long before some are. While a couple of Orthodox congregations have opted to reopen under strict official guidelines for houses of worship, as reported last month in the Intermountain Jewish News, five synagogues contacted in recent days have indicated that they’re not quite ready to go there.
