VIP New Faces: Sara Zessar

Zessar, 35, was born in Rock Island, Ill., and graduated Washington University. She founded Discovery College Consulting, which helps high school students navigate the college search and admission process, in 2013. Sara, who is single, enjoys skiing and hiking, museums, plays and concerts, reading and photography. What inspired you to counsel students on college choices? I worked for Teachers of America. While finishing my MA, I had a full-time paid internship in counseling and then worked as a high school counselor for five years. But the college counseling part was always my biggest passion.
