VIP New Faces: Margot Sands

Sands, 26, is the lead educator at Ekar Farm. She holds a master’s in elementary education and is a certified K-8 teacher in science. She is part of HEA’s Shir Hadash minyan, where she reads Torah. Originally from Phoenix, she has been living in Denver since 2016. What is your background? During high school, I was exposed to the environmental justice movement as a participant in the NFTY Bay Area Mitzvah Corps summer program. I have a BS in Environmental Science at Northeastern University, where I minored in Jewish studies.
