VIP New Faces: Jacob Eichengreen

undergraduate studies at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., Jacob Eichengreen, 27, volunteered in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake assisting emergency and aid organizations.  Eichengreen describes the experience as an ‘a-ha’ moment learning about the challenges and complexities faced by large-scale aid organizations after natural disasters. Later, he earned a certificate in post-conflict development through the School for International Training.  In Uganda and Rwanda, Eichengreen researched the role of micro-lending and micro-financing to enable families to start businesses. Jacob founded Bloom Micro Financial for equity investment for businesses in Uganda.  He has held key roles in Colorado Springs with N’orwood Development Group.
