VIP New Faces: Gary Brandt

the three years since Gary Brandt arrived on the scene in Boulder, he has made a big impact on the way Jewish youth there “do Jewish.” Brandt, 34, became the director of the Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative in September, 2014. It seems a perfect fit for this southern transplant. Brandt was adopted by his parents through Jewish Family Services a few weeks after his birth in Memphis, Tenn. He was raised in a Reform Jewish household in his mother’s hometown of Baton Rouge, La. His father was president of the temple.
