University of Colorado, Colo. Spgs. is booming

rare for any organization to increase its size or customer base over 50%, but that’s just what has been achieved at the Colorado Springs campus of the University of Colorado (UCCS) in recent years. Between 2001 and 2016, student enrollment at the campus increased by 75% to over 12,000 students. This fast-paced growth occurred during a time of declining enrollment on college campuses across the US, where enrollment has decreased every year since 2010. To support this unusual growth, UCCS has increased staff and faculty to a total of 1,624, including tenure-track and instructor faculty positions.
