The UN vs. Truth: 21-6

On Dec. 6, 2017, Donald Trump announces that the United States officially recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

On Dec. 7, 2017, the UN Security Council holds an emergency session condemning the recognition.

On Dec. 21, 2017, the UN General Assembly holds an emergency session condemning Trump’s recognition.

On Dec. 27, 2017, the Iranian parliament votes to recognize Jerusalem as Palestine’s capital. You’d never know, since one day later, and even one month later: No emergency UN Security Council session. No emergency UN General Assembly session. When it’s not Israel or her allies defending their right to Jerusalem, the UN doesn’t care who declares what about Jerusalem.

Speaking of Iran: Since anti-government protests — thus far leaving 21 civilians dead — broke out there on Dec. 28, 2017: No UN Security Council emergency session. No emergency UN General Assembly session. When it comes to Israel, however, the UN General Assembly passed 21 resolutions against Israel in 2017, and six against the rest of the world combined. Only about Israel does the UN acquire a putative moral compass.

Amazingly, some still claim there is no anti-Israel bias in the international community. It would be funny if it weren’t so tragic.
