Jordan Ilan “Tuvi” Pells, 27, passed away Feb. 21, 2017, in Denver. Rabbis Yaakov Meyer and Yaakov Chaitovsky and Cantor Joel Lichterman officiated at the Feb. 26 graveside service at Mt. Nebo. Shalom Funeral Services made the arrangements.

“My boy had a beautiful but hard life,” said his father Mark Pells. “There is no why. I keep saying that, and hopefully some day soon, I’ll be able to accept it.

“The simple truth is that some, even the radiant shining stars like Tuvi, only get their allotted time and then are destined to return to the Heavens.

“Tuvi touched more people than I realized, and every person he touched will never be the same as a result. His kind, loving soul was a blessing for all who were lucky enough to encounter him. And for that I feel truly blessed.”

Mr. Pells was born Dec. 4, 1989, in Denver.

He attended Hillel Academy and graduated from Colorado State High School.

Mr. Pells was a culinary graduate of the Emily Griffith School. Illness prevented him from pursuing his career.

Tuvi Pells is survived by his parents Allison and Mark Pells, his brother Zachary and sister Claire, and grandfather Joe Pells.

He was the grandson the late Louise Pells, the late David (Marsha) Wagoner and the late Julie and Michael Wells.

Contributions may be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, 1805 S. Bellaire St., Suite 285, Denver, CO 80222.
