Your choice:Who is the most fanatic enemy of a two-state solution?
Multiple choice:
Question: Who is the most fanatic opponent of a “two-state solution” (one Israeli state, one Palestinian state)?
a. Israel Minister Ben-Gvir
b. Israel Minister Smotrich
c. PM Benjamin Netanyahu
d. None of the above
Answer: d.
Take it from former President Bill Clinton. With Israel’s agreement, he negotiated for the Palestinians their own state on 96% of the West Bank, plus 4% of Israel — their choice where. This was in the year 2000. Not only did PLO leader Yasir Arafat reject it, but he started the second intifada a couple of months later — five years of Palestinian terror attacks that left 1,000 innocent, unarmed Israelis dead.
What has Clinton said of all this?
Arafat “didn’t tell me the truth . . . when he promised me he was gonna accept the peace deal that we had worked out. All this was offered . . . and they said no.
“And I think part of it is that Hamas did not care about a homeland for the Palestinians; they wanted to kill Israelis and make Israel uninhabitable.”
Clinton said Hamas had made a deal with Iran, Hezbollah and the Houthi, aiming not to create a Palestinian state but rather to nullify previous progress toward peace. “Essentially,” said Clinton, “we going to have to start the peace process again.”
This isn’t warmed over, outdated Bill Clinton. He said this in October, 2024 at a rally for Kamala Harris. Who is the most fervent enemy of a two-state solution?
Hamas, modeled on the PLO.
