Toby Ginsburg
Longtime Denver resident Toby Ginsburg died on April 29, 2023. She was 80. A service was held on April 30 at Temple Emanuel, officiated by Rabbi Steven Foster. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
A native of Harrisburg, Penn., Mrs. Ginsburg (nee Lewis) attended NYU. While she was teaching in Harlem she met Dr. Stanley Ginsburg; the two were married in Oct., 1966, and remained a couple until Mrs. Ginsburg’s passing.
Mrs. Ginsburg taught in public schools in Denver.
“She loved teaching,” said Dr. Ginsburg, “and did some volunteer work at Rose Medical Center.
“She was special because she communicated with all she met immediately.”
Survivors are daughters Dr. Valerie (Darryl Shockley) Ginsburg and Dr. Stephanie Mehleck; and grandchildren Evan, Ava and Jordan Mehleck.
