The Roe leak

The issue of Roe v. Wade is one thing. There should be no debate, however, that whoever leaked Justice Samuel Alito’s draft majority opinion against Roe — and no doubt the FBI will find the origin of the leak — should be held to the same penalties as anyone else who leaks classified information, which is a federal crime.

Such a leak includes potential punishment of up to ten years in prison and a significant fine.

The last noteworthy case of this sort was in June, 2020, when former Defense Intelligence Agency analyst Henry Kyle Frese leaked top secret documents to a member of the media. Frese got a sentence of 30 months in jail.

The leak of Alito’s opinion may not obviously compromise national security, but is not just a technical violation of the law. It compromises respect for the internal processes of deliberation by the Supreme Court. This is especially egregious at a time when some wish to demean the stature of the Supreme Court.

FBI will find nothing because they have not been asked to look. Chief Justice asked Marshall of the Court to investigate. So it will be covered up because leak most likely came from not so wise Latina who has already demonstrated in previous hearings total disregard for the institution. When lefties can’t control something they always want to destroy it. Other than excellent decision the only good thing to come out of this debacle is that Chief Justice may finally come home to conservative camp and there is no longer a danger of Kav straying.
