The life and death of time

TIME, EINSTEIN tells us, is a revolutionized concept, a necessary fourth dimension, in addition to length, width and depth. Time is part of the “space-time” continuum. Einstein once got off a train and looked at a public clock to see what time it is. Suddenly, he had a revelation. He realized that he did not see what time it is. He saw what time it was. There was a short interval between the time on the clock and the time he actually saw it due to the brief moment it took the light bouncing off the clock to reach his eyes.
