Temple Aaron: historic synagogue saved — for now

The historic synagogue in Trinidad, an architectural jewel in that city’s and Colorado’s historical crown, may not be sold and repurposed in a non-religious incarnation after all, if an energized group of supporters has their way. The announcement two years ago that the Rubin family, longtime caretakers of the circa 1889 Victorian Moorish synagogue, were compelled to put the building on the market has served as a wake-up call for people interested in preserving Colorado’s Jewish legacy.
