Tamar Booth, mother of Rabbi Stephen Booth-Nadav, passed away Feb. 26, 2018, in Aurora. Rabbi Jamie Arnold officiated at the Feb. 27 graveside service at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman made the arrangements.

“Tamar was a dedicated mother, a great friend and a lover of life,” her son said. “She loved and was well taken care of in her two homes at Kavod Senior Life and Shalom Park.

“Her time in Colorado was too short, but a great tikkun for her and her family.”

Clarice Joan Felzer was born on Nov. 30, 1928.

She grew up in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago and attended Hyde Park High School, where she met her first husband George Booth.

She changed her name to Terri when they were married.

When her son graduated from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, she changed it to Tamar.

An executive secretary, Mrs. Booth lived in the Chicago area for much of her life and resided in San Diego, Calif., for the last 20 years.

She loved singing in the choir at Congregation Dor Hadash in San Diego and developed many friendships there.

In 2016, not long after her daughter’s death, Mrs. Booth moved to Denver.

She lived at Kavod until moving into Shalom Park in 2017.

Mrs. Booth is survived her son Rabbi Stephen Booth-Nadav (Jan Nadav); and granddaughter Ariella Booth-Nadav.

Contributions may be made to Shalom Park, Kavod Senior Life or the Alzheimer’s Association.
