Sylvia Singer

Sylvia SingerSylvia Renee Singer, an active member of BMH-BJ, passed away March 21, 2015, in Denver. Rabbi Yaakov Chaitovsky and Cantors Joel Lichterman and Zachary Kutner officiated at the March 22 graveside service at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Born Feb. 25, 1946, in Munich, Germany, Mrs. Singer briefly lived in Brooklyn and Oklahoma City before moving to Denver in the early 1950s.

She graduated George Washington High School in 1963 and earned a BA at CU in 1967.

Sylvia Fersztendig married Dr. Stuart Singer on Feb. 4, 1973.

A homemaker, Mrs. Singer worked as an officer manager and dental assistant for her husband.

Dr. Singer passed away on April 24, 2009.

A member of BMH-BJ, Mrs. Singer was especially active in the chesed committee.

Mrs. Singer is survived by her sister Barbara “Bobbi” Sparig of Denver; children Jordan (Rebecca) Singer of Natick, Mass., and Dr. Steven (Jennifer) Singer of Silver Spring, Md.; and grandchildren Ma’ayan, Abigail, Sarah, Aviv, Sivan and Ari Singer.
