Sylvia Schuster, a native Denverite and lifelong resident, passed away May 7, 2011, in Denver. Rabbis Selwyn Franklin and Yossi Serebryanski officiated at the May 9 graveside service at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Sylvia was a strong and compassionate woman, a true friend, who was loved by all who met her, the family said. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and was a self-sacrificing and inspirational woman. Many felt blessed to have known her.
Mrs. Schuster was born July 4, 1914, in Denver. She graduated from North High School.
She married Samuel (Sam) Schuster on Oct. 7, 1939. Mr. Schuster passed away on Jan. 25, 2007.
A lifelong member of Hadassah, Mrs. Schuster belonged to BMH-BJ.
She loved cooking, baking, and socializing with friends.
Mrs. Schuster is survived by her daughters Sharlene Baum and Diane (Steven) Levine; grandchildren Marc Levine, Tana Levine and Rachel Baum; and great-granddaughter Milan Northcote.
