Sylvia Barron

Sylvia Barron, a native Denverite and lifelong resident, passed away July 19, 2018, in Aurora. Rabbis Salomon Gruenwald and Steven Rubenstein officiated at the July 22 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Shalom Funeral Service made the arrangements.

“Sylvia was a wonderful wife, mother and aunt to many family members here in Colorado and elsewhere,” her loved ones said. “She loved going to Rockies baseball games with her family and loved just being around her children and family.

“She will be so sorely missed by all those who loved and admired her.”

Mrs. Barron was born February 5, 1924, in Denver. She had nine brothers and sisters.

She attended North High School, where she met her future husband Harold Barron.

They married in 1950.

Mrs. Barron worked as an associate at Joslins-Dillards for 26 years and loved being around people.

Mr. Barron predeceased his wife.

During her last five years, Mrs. Barron suffered from dementia and resided at Shalom Park Nursing Home.

Mrs. Barron is survived by her children Steve Barron, Dennis Barron and Sharyl Barron; and brother Stewart (Merna) Saliman.
