Summer’s long Shabbat

With the summer equinox comes the “longest” day of the year — that is the longest period between sunrise and sunset. Tomorrow, therefore, is the longest “Shabbat” of the year. Even though Shabbat is always 25 hours long, this week the sanctity and sweetness of the Sabbath will linger until 9:14 p.m., Saturday evening. Enjoy!
